How long is the tongue? 
The average tongue is approximately 3 inches in length. According to the Guinness World Records, as of May 2020, the longest tongue record goes to Nick Stoeberl whose tongue measures 3.97 inches. 

How tasteful is your tongue? 
The human tongue has between 2,000 and 4,000 taste buds. We have 5 different taste zones for sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami (savory). These tastes can be sensed all over the tongue. The back of the tongue is more sensitive to bitter tastes while the sides are more sensitive overall. 

When was the last time your tongue was tired? 
The tongue IS NOT the strongest muscle in your body. In fact, it is composed of 8  different muscles. Normal maximum tongue strength in healthy adults falls between 40-80 kilopascals (kPa) with an average of about 63 kPa.
