TheraBite Support
FAQ

Will it hurt?

You may experience some discomfort when you begin your therapy, especially if you have had pain and prolonged immobility. Initially you should be gentle and only stretch to your personal comfort level, with time and patience you will increase your opening and decrease the pain you are having, by gently increasing your spam. Should you experience a different type of pain then normal or increased pain you should always call you doctor just to make sure all is well.

How often should I use my TheraBite?

The easiest way to remember to use your there bite is to remember 5 minutes 5 times per day. This is a total of 25 minutes per day and is an easily doable regimen of exercise. You should place the Therabite between your teeth and squeeze the handle down until you feel a stretch in you face and jaw but no real pain. Hold this position for a count 0f 10 seconds, and release. You repeat this step for a full 5 minutes. Alternating squeezing and releasing.

How do I clean my TheraBite?

Usually just a through bath with a little dish soap is fine but if you feel you need to clean it better you can put it in the top rack of the dishwasher. Clean or scrape off the old cushions, run it through a regular load cycle and replace the cushions.

How long will I need to use my TheraBite for?

That will depend on the severity of your problem and how long you have had it for. Some patients who may only have a minor internal derangement of the jaw may only need to use their TheraBite as prescribed for 3 months, but others may need to use it for 6 months. It is always a good idea to keep you Therabite around… you never know if you may need it again.

What if I break my TheraBite?

If for any reason your Therabite breaks during normal use, Please contact us so we can inspect the equipment and replace it.
